Digital expertise, a diversity of communities, archives and archiving. 10 action learning projects ask how (or if) digital technology can bring communities and archives closer together, develop skills and deepen engagement with their heritage.

This event has now taken place and is no longer bookable.

The first in a series of events as part of The Audience Agency’s action learning project ‘Digitally Democratising Archives’, this session focuses on the questions we have and introduces the projects. We will hear from speakers and projects about digital participation, archives and archiving, and community curatorship. They will also share what they have or are hoping to learn from these and other projects. Future events will develop the conversation and share the learnings.

As one of eight organisations awarded funding by The National Lottery Heritage Fund Digital Skills for Heritage initiative, The Audience Agency is supporting a community of ten action learning projects with project grants, mentoring, training and evaluation to develop digital skills and confidence to increase access and engagement with archives and archiving.

This event is part of The Audience Agency’s Digitally Democratising Archives project thanks to funding from DCMS and the National Lottery, as part of The National Lottery Heritage Fund’s, Digital Skills for Heritage initiative.
