What is Show Stats?
Show Stats is powered by the Audience Finder data but has been designed to serve a slightly different function. The online tool allows anyone to find productions in Show Stats dataset to run production or performance level reporting, which includes:
- Total tickets issued
- Average Ticket Yield per transaction
- Top 10 Postal Districts
- Advanced Booking Times
- Percentage of First Time Attenders to that venue
- Group Size
- Audience Spectrum Breakdown
How can I use Show Stats as a venue?
As a venue, once you’re contributing data to Audience Finder, Show Stats can be used to supplement the insight you get through that dashboard, allowing you to get snapshot reporting of specific events or productions. After logging in, you find and activate the productions you’re interested in reporting on. From then on you can report on the activated production as a whole, individual performances or group it with other activated productions.
Activation is only required once, then the production is available to report on in any way you please for as long as you use the tool and costs 1p per ticket (minimum £100 charge per year).
If you take productions to other venues you can also report on these in the same way.
In addition, touring companies can find their productions at your venue, and with permission from yourselves as the host venue, run the same reporting on their shows too. If a company does this with your data you’ll receive an email notification to let you know the request has been made, then all you need to do is log in and go to ‘Manage Requests’ under ‘My account’.
If a touring company decide to activate and run reports on productions at your venue, and pay to do so, you get to see that report too but free of charge.
Please note that although we do our best to only grant access to the tool to trusted organisations, it is the venue’s responsibility to verify whether they wish to give the particular user access to the performances requested.
How can I use Show Stats as a touring company?
Using Show Stats you can find your productions at any venue in the Audience Finder dataset and request access to reporting from the host venue with one click. Once you’ve made a request Show Stats will inform the venue and notify you when they have approved access, at which point you can activate the productions you’re interested in reporting on.
From then on you can report on activated production as a whole, as individual performances or group them up with other activated productions. Activation is only required once, then the production is available to report on in any way you please for as long as you use the tool and costs 1p per ticket (minimum £100 charge per year).
However for an overview of your audiences in the last year, particularly for reporting purposes, you can create an annual summary report. This groups audience data from all your approved (or activated) productions from the last full financial year, and allows you to run a report on the group for free.
