James’ role in The Audience Agency is to assist with the continuing progression of the Audience Finder database and research programme. In doing so, James regularly deals with quantitative research and database analysis.
James has recently finished an MA in Museums and Galleries in Education, in which his dissertation specifically focused upon audience development and the institutional approaches towards it, primarily represented through national policy. Whilst studying, James worked part-time within the Royal Opera House box office. Prior to this, he has worked in education within the UK, and as a teacher abroad in China. James’ first degree was in Archaeology from the University of Nottingham.
