Golant Innovation and The Audience Agency are working on the Digital Maturity Index for the cultural sector and Digital Culture Code for the UK.

These are policy commitments coming out of the DCMS Culture is Digital report which describes their purposes as:

  • Digital Maturity Index – to enable organisations to understand and benchmark their own digital capability and set plans in place to make improvements.
  • Digital Culture Code – to demonstrate a commitment to developing their own digital maturity and the maturity of the wider cultural sector.

The two are commissioned together as a single project by Arts Council England with the National Heritage Lottery Fund. Led by The Space with other partners Culture24 and the University of Leicester, its advisory board includes Creative Scotland and Arts Council Wales.
