Sophia has a focus on innovation through design, working both with clients and within The Audience Agency to take new ideas from concept to prototype to reality – and develop the business models and organisational capabilities to underpin these. She is experienced at designing and delivering R&D projects.
Since 2015 she has worked for Golant Innovation, which became part of The Audience Agency Group in 2018. Her clients have included the Royal Shakespeare Company, Royal Opera House, British Film Institute, Imperial War Museum and Liverpool City Council – and, in the wider creative industries, companies specialising in VR and immersive tech, animation, scientific software and visitor flow analytics.
She is on the Arts Council England framework of financial advisors and an advisor for the Arts Council Wales resilience programme. She is the co-author of The Adoption of Digital Technology in the Arts (Nesta), What is Resilience Anyway: A Review (Arts Council England) and a number of reports published by the World Cities Culture Forum.
Sophia has a DPhil in Modern History, an MSt in Historical Research and an MA in Modern History and Politics from the University of Oxford. She has taught and designed online learning materials for the University of Oxford, Nord Anglia Education and Oxford Royale Academy. Between 2012 and 2015 she was a board member of the Arts Alliance of Northern New Hampshire.
