We asked Ariadne about her role as Community & Support Manager and the work she does supporting clients
Ariadne is our Community & Support Manager, responsible for helping organisations sign up for Audience Finder and Show Stats. She guides them through the initial set up process with a Box Office extraction, an Audience Finder Survey or getting started with using Show Stats.
What does your job at The Audience Agency entail on a day to day basis?
Organisations get in touch with me on a daily basis to ask about Audience Finder and Show Stats. Some of the things I help them with include technical issue support, set up requests and training of new users.
What is the most common question you get asked?
One of the most common questions I get asked from organisations, and in particular, NPO organisations is how they can start contributing data to Audience Finder or Show Stats to enable them to meet their funding requirement to Arts Council England. This query enables us to explore how Audience Finder collects and analyses audience data and, depending on the organisation’s specific needs, identify the best way to contribute data to the tool.
What one piece of advice would you give to new Audience Finder users?
I would advise them to explore the National Data section of Audience Finder. This section is free and open to all Audience Finder users regardless of whether they are contributing audience data to the tool or not. You can access useful information about your region in the Location section of National Data, or the artform most relevant to your organisation in the Artform section. You can also read everything about the Audience Spectrum types in the Segment section.
And, what would you advise a new Show Stats user?
New Show Stats users would find it really useful to watch our handy video guides on how to use the tool. There are two types of organisation accounts in Show Stats; one for touring organisations and one for venues.
