Meet the Team | Nathan Goreing
We spoke to Nathan about his role as Community & Support Officer and asked him to reveal his top tips for new Audience Finder users
Nathan is our Community & Support Officer, who works closely with clients to ensure that they are making the best use of Audience Finder and Show Stats. He does this through offering troubleshooting advice, help and guidance in realising these tools’ potential for every organisation.
What does your job entail on a day to day basis?
My role consists of providing support to clients, ranging from huge arts organisations to smaller regional touring companies. I help them overcome any problems they may be having and make the most of our products and services. I also check in with our clients to see how they’re progressing with our tools and encourage them to use the tools in new and innovative ways – all with the goal of helping people do smarter, data-driven analysis.
What is the most common question you get asked?
Clients most often ask me how they request useful reports. To do that in Audience Finder, firstly you need to be contributing data (to set up an Organisation Account and see your data in a personalised dashboard contact our Community & Support Team on firstname.lastname@example.org ), which we can then make the report from. For Show Stats, reporting can take place once you’ve found and activated productions for approval.
What one piece of advice would you give to new Audience Finder users?
Don’t be afraid to explore and see what it can do for you! Audience Finder really is an incredibly powerful platform with so much to offer but, like anything complex, it can occasionally be confusing at first. The more you invest into understanding how aspects such as the mapping tool collates and displays your information, the more you can get out of it and the smarter you can be with your data.
And, what would you advise a new Show Stats user?
I would encourage new users to explore the range of different productions which they can activate. The subscription credits allow an organisation to activate the equivalent of 10,000 productions, which may be a lot of productions or not very many at all (as some clients far exceed this). The shows can help a venue, or a touring organisation plan their marketing and communications activity with useful data insights.
